How Solar Lighting Works

Solar lighting systems are powered by the sun and the day to provide bright illumination at night.  Solar powered lighting requires no connection to utilities and is an easy way to improve security and safety.

Ultra-bright LED Lighting Systems are powered by the sun’s energy.  The lighting system has two modes of operation: Daytime Mode and Nighttime Mode.

-Daytime Mode: Light from the sun is converted to electricity by the solar panel

(A).  The electricity generated is stored in batteries

(B).  Batteries charge best on sunny days but will also charge on overcast days as well.

-Nightime Mode: After sunset electricity fl ows from the batteries to the light

(C).  The LED light turns on and provides bright consistent light.  Sol’s lighting systems are designed to provide light every night, event if there are 5 days without sun.
